Sony Ericsson Zylo is a Windows 7 Device Stage handset, and has a QVGA resolution display, measuring 2.6 inch and supporting up to 256,000 colours. It comes with a intuitive accelerometer; which allows smooth transitions from landscape to portrait view and vice versa. The phone is embedded with the Walkman 4.0 player, which allows easy segregation of your playlist via artist, album or genre and sports a clutter free interface. The Zylo can seamlessly sync with a PC with the Media Go feature,which supports drag and drop file transfer.

The Zylo supports HD FLAC format , which is a high quality lossless audio codec. FLAC retains the original audio without modifying it, unlike MP3 and WMA formats where audio data is stripped during compression. Coupled with the Clear Audio technology , the device delivers premium sound quality. The Zylo doesn't have a 3.5mm audio jack, so you will have to use the supplied earphones or get an external adaptor to connect your headphone

The device comes with a Music Call Feature , it lets you select a song from your playlist and play it in the background during a conversation. You can even choose background sounds like traffic noise or cheering crowds, for a prank call.

The SE Zylo also supports the SenseMe feature, which allows you to choose playlists based on relative speed and mood of the track. Other media capabilities in the phone include SE's TrackID music recognition feature which can quickly dig up details of a track, the phone also has an FM radio receiver with RDS support, and a 3.2 Megapixel camera with video recording facility. The device comes with an internal memory capacity of 260 MB, that can be expanded with microSD up to 16 GB.

Despite lacking an built-in GPS receiver, the Zylo offers geotagging support for images via cell triangulation. The phone is a quad band GSM handset with dual band HSDPA support, and offers up to 7.2 Mbps data transfers. The Zylo also offers Class 10 GPRS and EDGE, which comes handy when you are in an area without 3G coverage. The local connectivity options in the phone includes a Micro USB port for connecting to a PC, and Bluetooth 2.1, with A2DP for stereo wireless streaming.

The Zylo supports Push Mail, and comes preloaded with native apps for direct access to Twitter, YouTube and Facebook. It also includes support for Blogger, so you can keep your blog updated on the go directly from your phone
