Sony Ericsson Satio comes with a high resolution 12 MP camera with LED ,photo light and a Xenon flash. The phone runs on the Symbian 60 OS and features a highly intuitive touchscreen display. The 12 MP camera delivers high resolution pictures which don't show pixilation even on a A4 printout. The camera lacks an optical zoom, but the extra pixel lets you crop your final image without too much distortion. The Satio sports abright 3.5 inch touchscreen which is in the same 16:9 format as a widescreen TV, making it perfect for watching movies. It comes with 128 MB onboard memory and supports up to 8 GB microSD cards.The Satio also sports a bunch of handy photo features including smile & face detection. The phone comes with the popular Best Pic technology which captures multiple shots in rapid succession, increasing the chances of capturing that illusive perfect picture.
The SE Satio delivers high quality audio with its powerful speakers but it comes with proprietary audio jack and lacks a 3.5 mm jack. The phone ships preloaded with tons of useful apps including Google Maps, BBC iPlayer and YouTube. There's also Wi-Fi connectivity and GPS, as well as some fun Sony Ericsson apps, like TrackID, which will identify songs and artists playing on the built-in FM radio.
Sony Ericsson has done a great job of jazzing up the outdated Symbian user interface, the Satio's home screen is slick, neatly organised, and sports attractive icons. The handset supports geotagging and can record your location on every pic you take, once you copy your geotagged snaps to a PC, you can plot them on a map usingPicasa or iPhoto.
The Satio has a TV output so you can view your photos & videos on a big screen, but you'll need to buy the cable separately. The Symbian OS allows efficient multitasking, enabling you to run several apps at once without the slightest hint of lag. This 12.1 megapixel monster can take pictures which put many entry level point and shoot digital cameras to shame.
