Samsung Google Nexus S is an Android smartphone running the Android Gingerbread 2.3 OS. The Nexus S comes with Super Clear LCD display. The Samsung Google Nexus S is powered by an ARM Cortex A8 1 GHz processor, coupled with 512 MB of RAM. There is a dedicated Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) for smoother video playbacks and HD gaming support.
The Gingerbread builds upon existing Android capabilities like multi-tasking and Wi-Fi tethering and throws in an improved keyboard, faster web navigation and NFC (Near Field Communication). The NFC feature allows the Google Nexus S to read information from objects that have NFC chips embedded in them (posters, stickers, t-shirts etc).
Google has made a few tweaks to the stock UI appearance. The notification bar along the top of the screen and the background on the menu have gone a shade darker. Google Nexus S sports a 5 MP camera that captures images of up to 2560 x 1920 pixel resolution. The autofocus camera is supported by an LED Flash. Additionally, the Nexus S has a front facing secondary VGA camera for video calls and other live camera applications.

The Nexus measures 123.9 x 63 x 10.9 mm and weighs 129 g. The device is equipped with Accelerometer for auto-orientation, 3 Axis Gyroscopefor enhanced gaming experience, Ambient Light Sensor for auto-brightness control and a Proximity sensor for auto-turn off.

The Samsung Google Nexus S is powered by a 1500 mAh battery that gives up to 14 hours of talk time on 2G networks and up to 6 hours 40 minutes on 3G networks. The Google Nexus S comes with 16 GB internal memory which is non expandable since the phone lacks a microSD slot.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, 3G GPRS, EDGE and, Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP support, and microUSB v2.0. The Webkit based browser offers Flash Player 10.1 and multi-touch support.
