The Motorola Xoom is a 10 inch Android tabletrunning Android Honeycomb 3.0 OS. The Xoom is thefirst Android Honeycomb 3.0 tablet to hit the market, which also makes it the first tablet to ship with a tablet optimised OS. Motorola has entered the tablet war with all guns blazing, the Xoom boasts of an impressive spec sheet featuring Dual Core processor, 10.1 inch display, 32 GB of internal storage, 1 GB of DDR2 RAM and Dual cameras.

The 5 megapixel camera with LED flash on the Motorola Xoom can shoot 720p HD videos. The Xoom also features a front facing 2 megapixel camera for video chats.

The Xoom measures 249.1 x 167.8 x 12.9 mm and weighs 730 g. Motorola has fitted the Xoom with ananodized aluminum black chassis with sleek matte finish. The most noticeable deviance in the Xoom, compared to other Android devices is the absence of physical Menu, Home, Back and Search buttons. These are replaced by auto-orientating soft menu buttons. The Xoom packs a Proximity Sensor for auto-turn off, Ambient light sensor for auto-brightness adjust, an accelerometer for auto-orientation and a Gyroscope for a richer gaming experience.
