The Aero is a full touch screen smartphone from the house of Dell. Running on Android 2.1 (Eclair) operating system, the handset is powered by a Marvell PXA310
624 MHz processor. The Android device has a
3.5-inch TFT display screen with resolution of 360 x 640 pixels (nHD resolution).
A 5 megapixel camera is loaded into the Dell Aero with auto focus, 8x digital zoom and LED flash capabilities, allowing images shot in low light to be clearer and less grainy. Video is captured in CIF resolution (352 x 288) through the camera at 30 fps.
Design
This Android smartphone has dimensions of 58 x 122 x 11.7 mm, that fits snugly into your palms or pockets. Weighing 104 g, the capacitive touchscreen of the Aero supports 262 K colors and features the regular sensors such as
accelerometer and proximity sensor. A capacitive
stylus is also added in the phone for your convenience.
Storage and Battery
The battery used in the Dell mobile phone is a standard 1000 mAh Li-Ion that gives
talk time of up to 5 hours and standby time of 400 hours. The phone accepts memory cards up to
32 GB that gives you enough space for storage.
Connectivity and Features
Users can access
Internet on the Aero through GPRS, 3G, Wi-Fi and EDGE. Connectivity options include Bluetooth and USB. There is A-GPS loaded into the phone, with Google Maps, so that you never miss any directions. You can make your business mobile with the Dell Aero that has features such as
Microsoft Active Sync, Quick Office Document Viewer and Editor to help you keep a tab on your work, on the go.
You can watch videos on YouTube without any hitch, thanks to the presence of Flashlite. Additional features packed into the phone include Handwriting recognition, Photo and video editor, Organizer and Voice memo.
