Samsung unveils Wave 3, Wave M and Wave Y bada phones


Samsung has officially announced three bada phones that will be showcased at the IFA in coming days. Joining the Wave lineup this year will be Wave 3, Wave M and Wave Y phones, all running bada 2.0 OS. Wave 3 is the flagship or the hero device in the range and has got a slightly new design from previous Wave phones. The 9.9mm phone comes in a full metal design and is powered by a 1.4GHz CPU, 4-inch WVGA Super AMOLED display, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 3.0, 5MP camera with LED flash, VGA camera, 14.4Mbps HSDPA, support for various social network services including the ChatOn and 1500mAh battery.
Next up is Wave M and it seems Samsung is extending its new naming scheme to bada phones as well. Anyways, this mid-range phone is a bit compact in design and comes with HSPDA 7.2Mbps, 3.65-inch HVGA TFT, bada 2.0 OS, 5MP camera, VGA camera, NFC (optional), Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n with Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 3.0 and 1350mAh battery.

Wave Y will be the low-end one in today’s announcement. It will be a perfect device for first-time smartphone users that comes with bada 2.0 OS, HSDPA 7.2Mbps, 3.2-inch HVGA TFT LCD, 2MP camera with LED flash, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi with Wi-Fi Direct and 1,200mAh battery.

Samsung expects to release the Wave devices in October.
